We keep a close eye on where the beauty market is moving, and zero-waste has earned our full attention.
Zero-waste beauty has been a headline-grabbing concept for years. What’s changing is the science behind it and the consumer demand pulling it into the mainstream.
A new report from Cosmetics & Toiletries frames the shift clearly: zero-waste is no longer a packaging story. It’s a formulation story driven by upcycled ingredients, biofermentation, and high-concentration formats that reduce waste while improving product performance.

The numbers reinforce it. According to The Upcycled Beauty Company, raw material sourcing accounts for 30–50% of emissions in the beauty sector—making ingredient innovation the highest-leverage sustainability play available to brands.
Half of global consumers now say they actively seek out upcycled ingredients in their beauty and personal care purchases. And per NielsenIQ, Gen Z consumers are 1.3 times more likely to choose environmentally-friendly products over conventional alternatives.
This is a space we’re watching with intention. Our portfolio includes certified-natural brands rooted in biofermentation and science-backed formulation—the same principles at the center of this shift. Where it goes from here, we plan to be paying close attention.
Investors of record by April 30th will receive their first distribution of June 30th.
