Yes! Royalty payments are already underway. Our CLO Gary Leonard confirmed that checks are being drafted and will go out the following full calendar month after an investor makes their investment. Royalty payments are made on a monthly basis. As a bonus, our next webinar — coming at the end of this month — will cover our first royalty payments in detail. Stay tuned for that invite!

Are the companies you acquire not selling online, and is that one of your criteria? How can these firms exist in 2026?

It is indeed surprising, but it does happen. Many of the brands we approach — or that have approached us — have built wonderful retail, wholesale, and in-store presences over the past few decades and simply haven’t broken into D2C or online yet. Not selling online is not a strict acquisition criterion for us, but it is something we specialize in. Our marketing team, led by CMO Allison Moska, has a proven track record of building out online presences for these brands. Additionally, some brands are online but lack the capital and expertise to effectively leverage digital marketing and social media channels — and that’s exactly where Fundamental Brands steps in.

How many portfolio firms are in the pipeline if more capital is raised quickly?

There are always different brands and companies in the pipeline at various stages — though not all of them ultimately become candidates. We are disciplined about making sure each addition to the portfolio is a strategic fit where 1+1 equals 3, not just 2.
